Bach Flower Remedies for animals

You may be familiar with the BFRs discovered by Dr Edward Bach (1886-1936) before coming to my website.

The Rescue drop bottle is often found nowadays in a first aid kid. There are 38 flower remedies (strictly speaking 37 flowers and one rock water); each one having the ability to help with a specific emotional or mental state.

They are produced today in the same way that Dr Bach prepared them more than 80 years ago. Petals of wild flowers are carefully picked and placed in a glass bowl filled with fresh spring water. The bowl with the petals and the water is then placed outside into the sun.

After three hours the petals are carefully removed and the remaining water makes up the remedy.

Dr Bach’s intention was to make the remedies widely available and to keep the science of how they work simple. He believed that pure nature has the power to heal all living creatures.

Stock bottles of these remedies can be obtained from health food shops or directly from the Bach centre. They contain two drops of this petal water which is either preserved in brandy or vegetable glycerine. In my practice I use the vegetable glycerine stock bottles as animals are very sensitive to alcohol.

The BFRs do not suppress emotional or mental states but transform these into positive attributes. They also neutralise trauma that has been experienced in the past.

Key to this therapy is the word simplicity and the power of natural healing. The remedies are very easy to administer and work most effectively in a system when four drops are taken four times each day.

The remedies are totally free from negative side effects and are taken happily by the animal on a little treat.

The flowers have a high vibration and each flower is attributed to a particular feeling. For example, when your pet suffers from fear she is in a low emotional state.

The flower remedy Aspen is particularly beneficial for nervy and anxious animals. It’s high vibration is able to raise the low vibration in your pet and thus re-activates her to a balanced state.

They do not suppress the emotion but transform and lift this into a positive attribute instead.
